Frequently Asked Questions
The following are answers to questions that I often receive through email or from parents or students.
Can I make things up in this class?
Yes, always. I believe in learning. Once you have learned the material or the skills, and can demonstrate it to me, you can get the points.
Is it a big deal if I miss class?
Yes, definitely! You matter to our choir. If you miss class, we miss you. Also, it is nearly impossible and impractical to simulate the work with a group of people when you miss class. Please make every effort to be to class except in the case of emergencies or unavoidable circumstances.
I missed a day of class. What do I need to do?
Go to the Rehearsal Make-Up page of the website and download the "Rehearsal Make-up Form." There will be instructions on how to fill out the form. Turn it in to the "Turn-In" box for your class period in the choir room.
I have a zero in Rehearsal Attendance. What does this mean and what should I do?
This is because you missed class. See the answer to "I missed a day of class. What do I need to do?"
I have a 0, 1, or 2 in Rehearsal Skills. What does this mean and what should I do?
Come in and talk to me and get a Rehearsal Skills Make-up Contract. You just need to practice your rehearsal skills and show that you are able to do them for 3 days and then your rehearsal skills score will go up.
I'm going to miss a concert. What do I need to do?
Go to the "Concert Info/Make-up" page on this website and it will give you more details.
